The Fat Turk Fresh boxes have been crafted so that anyone can cook our meals at home. There are just a few items needed to create the perfect meal and we have included some helpful guides below to cook our meals. FAT TURK FRESH - MEAL FOR 2
Thank you for ordering our Fat Turk Fresh box. We sincerely hope that you enjoy them at home as much as you would in the restaurant. The Fat Turk Fresh cook at home meals are all prepared fresh to order in our own kitchens by our restaurant chefs to ensure that you get as close to the real deal as possible. INCLUDED IN YOUR KIT:
Humus, Cacik, 4 thick cut slices of Halloumi Cheese, Bulgur wheat rice, Mediterranean salad, your choice of uncooked chicken, Lamb or Kofte, bamboo skewers for chicken or Lamb, Pide, pot of Fat Turk secret garlic chilli sauce and garlic mayo.
THINGS YOU WILL NEED:
Non-stick frying pan
Olive Oil
Tin Foil
Baking Tray
Take your Fat Turk chicken, lamb or kofte out of the fridge approx 15 mins before ready for cooking.
Pre heat a medium foil-lined baking tray in the oven at 180°C or gas mark 3. (ensure chicken sis fit in your oven before heating)
PIDE
Pre-heat a medium sized non-stick pan to a med/low heat. Brush or spray your Fat Turk pide with some olive oil. When ready place your pide onto the frying pan for approx 1½ mins each side or as long as needed to get warm turning with tongs as it cooks.
Hint - warm half to begin with and start with the humus and cacik and save the rest for warming fresh and enjoy with the chicken.
RICE
Remove lid from container and place back loosely on top. Microwave on full power for 2½ minutes or until piping hot throughout.
THE ŞIŞ
Skewer your chicken or lamb şiş pieces on to the bamboo skewers then place them (or your kofte) onto the foil lined baking tray, in your pre-heated oven for 18 mins turning once halfway through. When ready cut into the biggest piece of şiş down to the wooden skewer with a sharp knife and check that it is cooked through. If the chicken is still pink it is not cooked. Make sure all juices have run clear from all şiş, If not cook for longer until this has been achieved.
HALLOUMI & SUJUK
Lightly oil a non-stick pan and preheat to a medium/high heat. When ready dry off the halloumi slices with a kitchen towel and place onto the pan. Turn the halloumi after approx 1½ to 2 minutes or when grilled, then cook the other side and serve.
LAMB CHOPS
Pre-heat a medium sized non-stick pan to a med/low heat. Brush or spray your Fat Turk pide with some olive oil. When ready place your pide onto the frying pan for approx 1½ mins each side or as long as needed to get warm turning with tongs as it cooks.
LAMB BURGER
Cook your burger in a non-stick frying pan with a litt!e oil and on a medium heat. Turn every 1 ½ to 2 minutes pressing the burger slightly to keep its shape and ensure it cooks evenly. Your burger is done once it reaches an internal temperature of 70°C and all juices have run clear. If it is cooked, your burger should feel quite firm and springy but not to dry.
